There really is no reason, you just don't have facial hair. It happens, I had an actual mustache when I was 15. My body developed REALLY early.. /facepalm...

It seems like a companion can affect your standing on the light side. It seems like the actions of an out of control companion can cause you to switch from the light side to the dark side.

We'll how i understood it was you are still in control of ur companion meaning you can have them do quests that are either dark or good for those points. So the end decision of what evil or good things ur pet does it up to u. There considered pets really if you think about them haha and u can also fuck them =P love this game

Leonardo - "Leo" interacts well as a leader
Donatello - "Don" navigates from one place to another as an engineer

The opposite of that is probably a game where you have to beat every level without really knowing what each character's talents are. "First, you have to kill Baxter; second, you have to kill Krang; third, you have to kill Beebop and Rocksteady." The crew skills help to make a better story than that I think.
